A woman was sentenced to four years in prison for a death of 2023 in St. Louis County.

The 21-year-old Ashley Rose Cook was convicted of overdose by Isaiah Lamar Deegan for overdose.

The Hibbing police said she reacted to a reported overdose in a house in Hibbing on July 30, 2023.

Officers then found Isaiah Lamar Deegan dead. According to the Medical Examiner of Midwest Medical Examiner, his death was caused by the toxic effects of fentanyl and ethanol.

The investigators said they found that Cook had sold the medication to Deegan when they met at a Gilbert petrol station that day.
