Las Vega's Prison inmate dies, says correction department

An inmate in a women's prison in Las Vegas died last week, according to a press release from the Department of Corrections in Nevada.

The 60 -year -old Kelly King died on July 9 at Mike O'Callahan Military Medical Center of the Nellis Air Force Base, as from the release of the department.

Before her hospital stay, King served a prison sentence of up to nine years because of manslaughter and abuse of an older person in the Florence McClure -Collection Center in Las Vegas.

A cause of death for king was not listed. According to the department, an autopsy was requested.
