Eyes up, Vancouver! The skyline will sparkle Light during the celebration of the three-show return from Light

July 16, 2025 –

One of the most dazzling summer traditions in Vancouver is back. This weekend the Honda celebration of light begins, lights up the sky and draws crowds to the West End and Kits Point for the world's largest fireworks competition.

From a historical point of view, the event brings the competition from all over the world with itself-this year the event celebrates local, local talents from all over Canada. The data and competitors are:

  • Saturday, July 19 – Yukon
  • Wednesday, July 23 – Quebec
  • Saturday, July 26th – Nova Scotia

Public security continues to have our top priority. To ensure that this event remains a pleasant and safe experience for everyone, the city works closely with partners of the Park Board, the Vancouver Police Department, the Vancouver Fire Rescue Services and the Vancouver Emergency Management Agency.

Traffic effects

Expect road closures and traffic disorders in the city center, in the west end, in Stanley Park and in the Kitsilano. If you go to the event or go through these areas, go, bike, roles, mobi, scoot with lime or transit. You can find more information on the map of the road closure (272 KB).

Mobi from Rogers and Lime make it even easier to cycle or scoot the event by adding additional docking capacity at busy stations. On events on site, their teams are helped to help the drivers smoothly and to celebrate.

  • Avoid sitting in wedding areas: Find the fireworks for the viewing area on the beach.
  • Respect the NO smoking and the open fire ban in the parks in Vancouver and do not use Grilles in the entire English Bay Beach Park.
  • Respect drinking regulations: regulations:
  • Do not let it become garbage: Use the “Pack-in, Pack-Out” method.

    • Group meetings at large events often lead to excessive waste and can quickly overfill waste containers.
    • The participants are asked to waste at home and dispose of at home.

  • Be considerate of the community and keep the noise to a minimum when draining.

Watch from the water

Leave pets at home

Fireworks and large crowds can be very scary for animals.

  • All dogs present must be on a leash and carry the correct identification, since 97 percent of the licensed dogs and wearing tags are returned to their owner.
  • To report a lost dog, call Animal Services with 3-1-1.
