Riverside, California (Kesq) – An Indio jury needed less than an hour to condemn a man who was accused of attacking two women and threatens to kill them in Cathedral City in 2018.

The 41-year-old Christopher Elmer Barkley broke into a house in Cathedral late in 2018, while the two women and a baby were inside.

The public prosecutor's office in the Riverside district says that the mother and her mother -in -law of the baby had fallen asleep alone and for the night when Barkley entered the house and she sexually attacked.

During the attack, he threatened to shoot and kill both women and the child. Before he went, Barkley stealed the women's mobile phones and their identification so that the victims could not demand help.

Barkley was later identified by DNA evidence and on May 8, 2018 near the Ramon Road and the Landau Blvd. arrested. in the cathedral city.

After the jury heard the evidence in the case, the jury made all allegations as true and found Barkley guilty against him, including rape, burglary, attack with a weapon and incorrect detention in addition to the accusations for sexual assault and threats of death.

Barkley faces several consecutive life trenches and is to be convicted on September 5.
