Caitlin Clark for the Miss All-Star game, 3-point competition

The Indiana Fever Star Caitlin Clark will not take part in the WNBA All-Star events of this weekend, she announced on Thursday about the team after suffering a right-wing injury on Tuesday.

Clark, who dealt with a large part of the season with injury spending, had been appointed a starter and captain for the All-Star game on Saturday after receiving the most fan votes. She was also announced to take part in her career on the first 3-point competition.

“I am really looking forward to the fact that Indy is organizing WNBA All-Star this weekend. I know that this will be the best all-star so far,” said Clark in an explanation. “I'm incredibly sad and disappointed to say [Brondello] Coach our team for a win. “

The WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert chose the security guard of the Washington Mystics Brittney Sykes and Atlanta Dream striker Brionna Jones to replace Clark and Phoenix Mercury Star Satou Sabally (ankle) in the All-Star game. Engelbert previously appointed Kayla Minesota Lynx to replace the Rhyne Howard of the Dream (knee injury).

Clark underwent imaging on Wednesday to determine the extent of her groin injury, with fever trainer Stephanie White said that she was valid every day. Clark missed the defeat on Wednesday against the New York Liberty, the 10th game of the regular season, which she missed this year (11. including the Commissioner's final).

Before this season, Clark had never missed a game in her college or professional career. She comes from the pre -season and has dealt with two left -wing quad injuries and one to her left groin area, which caused it to miss game action.

The fever is eliminated until Tuesday when they are back to freedom.
