In his campaign in the Nordea Open in Bastad, Tallon Griekspoor survived an early fear, where he saves five match points on Wednesday afternoon to defeat Italian qualifyors Andrea Pellegrino.

The Dutch with a second seed fought for Pellegrina's diversity and touch for a large part of her collision in the second round, but ultimately found a late spark to triumph around 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-3. Griekspoor, who is 6-1 in the opening round this year on Clay, replaced four points from 3/6 in the second set-tie break and clearly caught up in the determination of sealing a two-hour, 11-minute victory.

“As an incredibly hard match, he made it really difficult for me,” said Griekspoor, who is his 23rd ATP tour quarter-finals. “He probably deserved the victory in the second set, I was a bit lucky with the match points. He didn't really look confident in these points, I just tried to make him play. I needed a little luck because he was the better player.”

Griekspoor, who conquered his third ATP touring title on the Mallorca Gras last month, put a quarter-finals with Countryman Jesper de Jong. The Dutch defeated Vit Kopriva 7-6 (3) 7: 5 on Wednesday morning and will take a 1-0 lead by Lexus ATP Head2head to his Griekspoor meeting, which he defeated in Montpellier in February.

“We played at the beginning of this year and I lost myself, so I'm definitely looking forward to a revenge,” said Griekspoor, who, according to Infosys ATP statistics, won 16 out of 19 net points against Pellegrino.

Previously, the Austrian qualification feature Filip continued its course in Sweden by overcome Elmer Moller 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in two hours and 41 minutes. Misolic, who in the PIF ATP live ranking by six places for a career height no.

Botic van de Zandschulp ended the Swedish Wildkarte Mikael Ymers campaign with a 6: 4, 6: 1 victory and made sure with Griekspoor and de Jong that it was the first time since Rotterdam 2023 that three Dutch achieved the second round of the same ATP tour event.

After Van de Zandschulp has started his second ATP tour victory on Clay this year, it will next to the fifth seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli, who passed Cristian Garin 6-4, 6-4.

Luciano Darneri flashed the last remaining Sweden in the draw, Elias Ymer, 6: 2, 6: 2, to book his place in a fourth quarter-finals from Clay Court from 2025. The 23-year-old Italian, who triumphed in Marrakech at the beginning of this year, holds a perfect 15-0 record against players outside the top 100.

Darderi will compete in the last four Sebastian Baez for a place in the last four after the Argentine qualification game Nicolai Budkov Kjaer gathered 3: 6, 6-2, 7: 5 in two hours and five minutes.
