Chance of strong to heavy storms this weekend; Wind, heavy rain possible

Storm Center 7 continues to pursue this pattern. Storm Center 7 meteorologist Britley Ritz today has the latest time and the latest effects on the 7 -day day from 4:25 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Some parts of the region could see some showers and thunder this morning.

According to Ritz, some isolated downpours are also possible this afternoon.

On Saturday there is an increased chance of showers and storms.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has almost the entire region under a marginal risk of storms (level 1 of 5).

“An isolated storm can be strong to heavy,” said Ritz. “Wind is the main threat to a severe storm. Locally strong precipitation is possible.”
