CTA crime: man heavily wounded during the fight on the Blue Line platform

A man was badly wounded by another CTA driver on a Blue Line platform on Chicago near West Side on a Blue Line platform on a Blue Line.

What we know:

The incident began after a 50-year-old had argued on the train with another man around 12:30 p.m.

Both drivers got out on the Clinton Blue Line Stop, where the argument escalated to a fight. The 50-year-old pulled out a “sharp object” after being hit the face and injured the other man's face before the fight ended, the police said.

The 50-year-old was brought to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in a serious condition. The other man was brought to the Rush Medical Center with a chin injury; His condition was not immediately known.
