The temperatures rise with rain and maybe storm on the east side

Billings – the wind flows remained consistent all over the country this morning. Low clouds and a little fog are highlighted in the mountains. The fog remains when the sun appears and the low clouds are clear. A few isolated showers are expected along the eastern border. During the day, the temperatures rise to the 70s and 80s, about 10 to 20 degrees warmer than in the past few days. With a shortwave that is expected to come to the northeast of Montana and the Dakotas from Canada, a thunderstorm probability of 15 to 30% can occur in isolated showers. Some storms may be stronger and more serious with modest instability. With a little rain near Miles City and Baker, there is a potential for some storms in the evening and the night. Strong winds and big hail are the main concerns. Northeastern areas in Montana have a low risk of storms.

On Friday, waves from the southwest will bring in isolated showers with a 20-40% probability of thunderstorms in the mountains in the afternoon and move north and east during the day. The temperatures are expected to go to the 80s.

With a view to Saturday and beyond, the temperatures are expected to remain with some probability of thunderstorms in the 80s to low 90s.
