Swat Pattdoff ends in man's death

A man died of suicide after a long patient situation with Swat teams that lasted in Monongahela from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.

Washington County, Timothy Warco, the forensic doctor, identified the man as a 36-year-old Zachry Hamilton from Monongahela. Warco's report states that Hamilton's cause and type of death are still being examined, but his death is examined as suicide.

According to a Supervisor by Washington County, the police were called around 7:30 p.m. to 1241 Fourth St. because of a domestic dispute.

Jason Walsh, Prosecutor of District of Washington County, said Hamilton said that a woman allegedly attacked. Walsh could not establish the relationship between the two, but said they had children together.

According to Walsh, the woman fled with her children out of the house and went to a neighbor to call 911, and Hamilton chased herself.

The woman was admitted to the hospital with considerable injuries, said Walsh.

Warco's report says that the Swat teams used a drone and that Hamilton saw an apparent firing wound on Thursday at 12:16 p.m. It was declared dead at 1:50 a.m.

According to Walsh, there was no change between Hamilton and law enforcement authorities. The investigators found Hamilton in a bedroom on the upper floor.

SWAT teams from the Washington and Beaver, the regional police of Charleroi, the police from Carroll Township, the Tri-Community EMS and the Southeast Regional EMS reacted to the incident.

The Monongahela City police are investigating.
