Evacuation in Anderson Co. Due to gas lick in the old YKK plant in progress

Anderson County, Ky. (Lex 18) – Officials in Anderson County report that evacuation is underway due to a gas leak in the old YKK plant on the Industry Road.

According to civil servants, residents and companies are evacuated on Lincoln Street, Coleman Street and the Vanarsdale Drive.

Officials say they go from door to door to ensure that everyone will surely evacuate the area.

According to officials, if you are in this area, you should leave immediately and follow the instructions of the first aiders.

Please ask officials to use open flames, smoking or operating electronics in the region.
