The NHS app now has more than half of the locals on their phone.

New figures have now downloaded more than half of the patients in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, new figures.

Almost 56% of the patients have installed the technology on their phone, with 51% setting in Luton up to almost 61% in Central Bedfordshire.

The 10-year-old NHS plan of the government, which was published at the beginning of this month, describes how the NHS services would shift from the analogue to digital space, with the NHS app becoming a “doctor in the pocket”.

By 2028, the app will be a complete front door for the entire NHS, whereby patients use new services such as immediate advice for the non -urgent care and for the first time find the most suitable service, selected their preferred health service providers, book directly in tests (where clinically appropriate) book, manage their medication, manage vaccines and manage a long -term disease.

In addition to the existing functions such as ordering repetition prescriptions, managing appointments (only for some practices), the display of your GP health document, obtaining test results, registration of an organ donation decision and the selection of the use of the NHS. NHS 111 Online is also available via the NHS app for immediate advice or medical help nearby.

Mark Thomas, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board said: “I am very happy to see the increasing recording of the NHS app, since this is the first point for non-emergency contact. Book.

“The more the NHS app is used, the faster new services will be accessible by you. However, remember that this is a very quick option to access services, but are available to other methods, just not as quickly as an app in your hand.”

The NHS app is compatible with both Apple and Android devices and is located in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
