Take a look at the new trailer for the current revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Evita, This began the preview on June 14th in the London Palladium with Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, Romeo + Julia, Snow White) in the title role in the video above.

Zegler, who plays Eva in the Jamie Lloyd-staged production, is accompanied by Diego Andres Rodriguez, who has his Broadway debut as an Artie in Lloyd's Tony-Special resuscitation of Gab Sunset BLVD.,as che; James Olivas as Juan Perón; Aaron Lee Lambert as Agustín Magaldi; and Bella Brown as a lover/alternative Eva. The Ensemble Includes Carl Au, Gabriela Benedetti, Shakara Brown, Damian Buhagiar, Kyeirah d'Arni, Sally Frith, Dangelo Jones, Lucas Koch, Natasha Leaver, Michael Lin, Dianté Lodge, Louis Mackrodt, Mireia Mullarke, Perry O'Dea, Alysha Sontae, Monica Swayne, Jon Tsouras and Harrison Wilde with Myla Carmen, Barney Hudson, Nathan Louis-Fernand, Kirsty Anne Shaw, Ricardo Spriggs and Regan Bailey Walker as swing. Auora Breslin, Lois Haidar, Siena Merilind-Wu and Ffion Rosalie Williams share the role of the child.

The creative team also includes choreographer Fabian Aloise, set and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, Music Supervisor and music director Alan Williams, the light designer Jon Clark and the sound designer Adam Fisher. Everyone except Fisher reflect on their work from Regent's Park production of production 2019. Casting is done by Will Burton, with us by Jim Carahhan Casting. The creative team also includes wig, hair and make -up designer Carole Hancock. The through-sung musical follows Eva Duarte, an illegitimate young girl from Los Requenen, that rose from anonymity to the actress and finally the first Lady of Argentina before her tragic death from cancer at the age of 33. Evita Originally in 1976 as a two-LP recording with Julie Covington in the title role and Colm Wilkinson as Che.
