76ers' Paul George undergoes an arthroscopic knee surgery


Paul George, the star of Philadelphia 76ers, was subjected to an arthroscopic process on his left knee on Monday to treat an injury that was suffered during recent training.

George will now start a rehab program and re -evaluate before the training camp begins in September. The procedure was made by Dr. Jonathan L. Glashow carried out in the orthopedic center of the Nyu Langone Sports Medicine.

The 35-year-old George has dealt with a variety of injury issues in recent years and was limited to just 41 games last season, while he was dealing with groin, finger and knee-chas. It is the fifth time in six years that he played less than 60 games.

George also scored only 16.2 points – his lowest total number in a decade for more than five points – before his season ended in March after he had received injections both in his left Adductor and his left knee.

As a nine-time all-star, George drove into the second year of a four-year contract with $ 212 million, which he signed at Philadelphia last summer.

The 76ers franchise star Joel Embiid was also limited to just 19 games last season, and Philadelphia ended with the lowest victory in total (24) since the 1994-95 season. The star trio of Embiid, George and Tyrese Maxey played together in just 15 games (a total of 294 minutes) last season.
