Brian Harmans British Open Mission is clear with day 2 performance

Portrush, Northern Ireland – Brian Harman does not matter whether they don't believe that he is a top player in the world.

It doesn't matter to him whether you look at him for a worthy British Open Champion, which he was in Royal Liverpool two years ago.

Harman wants more and although 36 holes of the 153rd open in Royal Portrush, thanks to a second round 65, are able to raise the Claret mug for the second time on Thursday.

That brought him the lead at 8-Unter-PAR as some of the players with later tea times such as Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm.

When Harman was finished, he headed Haotong Li with a shot with Li on his nine, Rasmus Hojgaard, Robert Mcintyre and Tyrrell Hatton (Al ended with 5th) by three and Tony Finau (4-uner).

Rory McIlroy and Keegan Bradley are five after they ended their second rounds.

“I feel very comfortable here,” said Harman. “I drive it well. They are very different golf courses (Hoylake and portrush), but the Golf is similar. You have to be able to fly your golf ball. You need to know how far everything is going. Then you cannot be frustrated. You will take bad breaks, you will land in funny places where it doesn't appear fair, and you only have to survive this stuff.

“Although the golf courses are different, the golf style is very similar. ''

Ironically, Harman did not immediately fall in love with the left.

“I won the (John) Deere in 14 and this year was the last man in the field in Liverpool.” He remembered. I just don't really feel like my chances. After playing this week, I said: “Wow, I can't believe how much I enjoyed it.” I love beating these stitches from the tee that corresponds to a million meters. I don't know, I just really took it.

“Then I played terribly in the next six openings and then played better here. ''

Harman posted a clean card without a single bogey while producing six birdies, including one on 18 ..

He said he would approach the weekend as much as two years ago when he entered the top 10 in the third round.

“I'm not trying to be heroic or doing something crazy, he said. I would like to have a similar weekend (until 2023) and just play all the way great.

“There will be challenges. This is a hard golf course. The pens were in really, really hard places, and they really have to think around him. Inevitably they will take a few shots wrong and end up in places in which they do not want to be, and the way they deal with it, the result of the tournament is safe.
