New shows and films that can stream on Netflix, Hulu, Prime video, Apple TV and more

I assume it's not a big surprise that this weekend is anything but the most busy with new streaming shows and films. After all, we are in the middle of summer. Many of the biggest, the hottest expected shows of the year have come and gone. The big summer blockbusters have already released in the cinemas. Many of the remaining shows and films from 2025 will be published later in the year when the temperatures are cool and the people in the interior are more.

Nevertheless, I found some good things for your vision on Netflix and elsewhere. Every week I look for the best new publications and compile it in your friendly guide for streaming streaming guidelines.

Big news too: I have done The shield finally! This amazing police drama has consumed almost every evening in the past few months. I burned all seven seasons in a very long binge. It was so good! The final is one of my favorite TV show final data ever. It is rare that a show stays so good from start to finish, but The shield I called seven seasons with at least ten episodes per season and I don't think there was a single bad consequence. I lost my sleep and saw this show and I don't regret anything. I am so happy that I didn't see it when it was broadcast for the first time.

Take a look at my Netflix July Streaming Guide to see everything for the most popular streaming service this month.

If you have tips or I missed something, shoot me a message TwitterInstagram or Facebook. You can watch the streaming guidelines here last weekend.

ForbesWhat can be seen this weekend: new shows and films to stream on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV and more

What is new and remarkable this weekend

Untamed (Netflix)

The traditional period western does not do the comeback that many of us have hoped for, but the new modern western genre has seen a real comeback thanks to the new comeback Yellowstone. Netflix has made a reasonable share of it, and Untamed is the latest. Eric Bana plays a federal agent who examines the death of a woman in the wilderness of the Yosemite national park. The six-episode limited series is now equipped with a reasonable value of 81% rotten tomatoes (88% of the audience) on Netflix. Sam Neill also plays.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Season 3 (Paramount+)

I'm far back Star Trek: strange new worlds And the audience and critical reviews for the third season have dropped considerably, which I think that I may not be missing much. I've never been big Hike Fan, but modern iterations of this show were almost universally disappointing. This show had a real potential, so it is a shame to hear that it went downhill. Nevertheless, I really like Captain Pike and his crew, so I will probably catch up and see myself.

Billy Joel: And that's how it works (HBO Max)

If you are a Billy Joel fan, you would definitely like to see this new documentary on HBO Max. (It is so nice to just enter HBO Max instead of HBO / Max). I admit, I know almost nothing about the piano singer/songwriter, but I like his music.

How to train your kite (VOD)

I really hate most live action remakes of classic animated films, but I usually accuse Disney for it. Somehow DreamWorks thrown it out of the park with his first attempt. How to train your kite Was a great remake of the animated film and now you can watch it at home, although you still have to pay for it because it is not yet streaming services. I ordered the 4K Blu-ray because it deserves the best possible picture and the best possible sound.

Eddington (in the cinemas)

Speaking of modern westerns, Eddington Has a hell line-up: Pedro Pascal, Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Austin Butler etc. The film takes place a long time ago in the year of our Lord 2020, in the dark times of Covid-19 and overloaded political tensions. Erb / MittelsOmmar Director Ari Aster heads. It looks fantastic from the trailer, but the film does not get the evaluation values I hoped for: 67% PM rotten tomatoes, which is still fresh, but hardly. It is possible that Asters do justice to humanity. . . Too desolate, also for film critics.

What streams weekly

A number of shows finished this month. Apple Murder bot Is over. So is season 2 of Poker face On Pfau. HBOS Dusty towel A week ago and was canceled immediately. But we still have many ongoing series that are broadcast weekly. I look at some of it, including the first entry. . .

Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount+)

We are three episodes deep into the return of Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) and so far I have enjoyed it Dexter: resurrection Quite a lot, although we are a long way from the glorious days of the first four seasons of the original exhibition. We take after the events of the New blood And go to the Big Apple, where both Dexter and his son Harrison deal and do their thing. Many returning characters and some big new names, including Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage and Krysten Ritter. Of course, we don't have to get to the meat of history, although it looks like things are doing higher equipment next week.

Resident Alien – Season 4 (Syfy / Peacock)

Alan Tudyk against Alan Tudyk. It is a match in heaven – or on an alien planet. Our hilarious lead in season 4 of against itself opposes itself Resident Alien When Harry tries to stop an evil, protected mantis (among other things for the earth and his friends). It is a delightful show and I only recommend it to everyone who is still on the fence. The earlier seasons are on Netflix! New episodes of the fourth season broadcast a week earlier on Syfy before he landed on Peacock.

Foundation (Apple TV)

The adaptation of Isaac Asimov's famous science fiction plant that I have never seen before. Most of the time it is a bad adaptation, but a good series. This is better than a bad adaptation that is also a bad series (if you look at it Machrings!) It is on my list. It's just a very, very long list.

The institute (MGM+)

I have to start The institute Now that my evenings of The shield have come to an end. It actually sounds like a good show to surprise us while we wait for the return of Foreign things. The series is based on Stephen King's novel and follows the kidnapping of a boy who wakes up in an institute for children with super powers. I heard positive things from readers. The third episode ends up on MGM+this Sunday.

Other shows currently broadcast

Nautilus (AMC) – Based on Jules Vernes's Twenty thousand miles under the sea, Nautilus Nemo's mission follows to take revenge on the East India Mercantile Company

Countdown (Prime Video) – another show that I have to start now because I no longer watch The shield Every night like an absolute junky. I enjoy a good thriller from Race-Against-the Crock, and although the reviews were not spectacular, I heard from many people to enjoy this sone.

Rauch (Apple TV+) – Taron Egerton plays an arsonist mediator who is drawn into a murder examination / conspiracy. Mystery author Dennis Lehane is the creator of the show.

Stick (Apple TV+) -Open Wilson plays in this golf well-being dramedy. Easy summer character tariff to compensate for all dark and gravel.

The gilded age (HBO) – The wasteful drama HBO period will bring you to the “gilded age” of East Coast America in the late 19th century. Still on my deficit, but my can costumes look nice.

The Buccaners (Apple TV+) – The Buccaners Is more Bridger tone as Downton Abbey, But should address fans of times of the romance of all stripes.

BMF (Starz) – A dramatization of the rise of the black Mafia family in Detroit and elsewhere in the 1980s and 90s. I heard that it called the “black sopranos”. So if that sounds like your thing, try it out.

I went too Superman and didn't like it very much. Read my review here or see my video review below:

What else did I miss? What should I put on this list or add my deficit? let me know TwitterInstagram, Bluesky or Facebook.
