Most likely windows for heavy storms Saturday in Metro Detroit – and a second scenario

Most likely windows for heavy storms Saturday in Metro Detroit – and a second scenario

DETROIT – The most likely window for heavy storms on Saturday in Metro Detroit begins to focus on, but there is also another scenario that could also have an impact.

Saturday storm chances

High -resolution models show a more sophisticated picture of what will probably play on Saturday, but there are still some “black sheep” model runs.

The consensus is that a round of showers and storms will meet in the afternoon and early evening – The window is on Saturday around 4 p.m. to 8 p.m..

Southeast Michigan is under a “light” risk (level 2 of 5) in the event of storms. The main concern is strong, harmful winds, but hail, floods and tornadoes cannot be completely excluded.

Another possible scenario

Some model data bring a few storms in Metro Detroit earlier than the window at 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If that happens, everything that would come later in the evening would probably be weaker.

This scenario seems to be less likely, but it is a possibility.

Warmth, humidity return next week

Warmth and humidity will return to Metro Detroit next week – especially later in the working week.

We expect heights in the 90s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you take into account the higher humidity, it will feel very difficult in the second week of the week.

Rain of the next week, storm chances

Rain chances and some storms are possible from Wednesday to Friday next week.

They probably seem to be of the “afternoon popup” variety, but the forecast will be easier to optimize if we approach.
