Raymond Boodarian for the death of the American Idol Managing Director Robin Kaye, husband

Los Angeles, California authorities say that 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian was arrested and charged after Robin Kaye, a long-time music leader at “American Idol”, and her husband Thomas Deluca. Boodarian was charged with murder and burglary in residential areas, the district prosecutor of Los Angeles County, Nathan J. Hochman, said on Thursday.

The couple, both 70, was found on Monday in his upscale Encino house. The investigators believe that on Thursday, July 10th, they were shot during a break -in, officials say.

When the couple returned home from a grocery business, Boodarian is accused of shot them several times and flee in front of the scene, said Hochman in a press release.

“This tragic shootout shaken a Valley community and the idea that our safe sanctuary should be at home,” said Hochman in a statement that conducted condolences to the relatives of the victims.

Boodarian is to be charged in Van Nuys on Wednesday, August 20. If he is convicted, he could live without the possibility of probation or the death penalty, it says in the release.

Other media reports do not show when Boodarian knew the couple or whether it is a random act of violence.

“Local news agencies (for Los Angeles) report that Boodarian was imprisoned for weapons and battery fees last year before a judge dismissed the case,” said David Gambino, a reporter from Courts at Cleveland.com and the Plain dealer.
