Colby Covington was mocked after ignoring the Callout of the UFC 318 fighter and instead Paddy Pimblett aimed

A UFC 318 star had some selection words for Colby Covington after pursuing a fight against the controversial world weight.

Covington's former teammate Dustin Poirier will mark the main attraction at the Pay-Per view event on Saturday, as the UFC has returned to Louisiana for the first time in over a decade.

After the main event of UFC 318, Poirier will retire and will challenge his almost two decades close to Max Holloway for the BMF title in her trilogy fight near Max Holloway.

Among the representatives to set the stage for the third conflict between 'The Diamond' and 'Selined', the always entertaining Kevin Holland is located. 'TrailBlazer' must be relatively intact by Daniel Rodriguez to keep his hopes to break the record for most UFC fights in a calendar year.

But 'D-Rod' was not Holland's preference after his triumph, the last time was out of triumph.

Kevin Holland shares a hilarious roast by Colby Covington after his callout has fallen on deaf ears

Holland submitted Vicente Luque to UFC 316 in early June, a result that came in his fourth battle in 2025 and marked his third victory. As a result, “TrailBlazer” Covington was aimed at and claimed at the press conference after the fight that their matchup would “pay”.

After Holland had heard nothing in return from “Chaos” who instead followed an increasing light competitor Paddy Pimblett, he achieved a shot during the ex-interim champion during the UFC 318 Media Day.

“When he thought he could fight Paddy and went through a weight class, he was 100 percent healthy,” said Holland. “As soon as they said my name, the vaginal muscle tore open.

“So you know how to do it. It takes eight to ten weeks to heal. Not an easy process.

“I thought it was a great callout. Paddy has a damn good name,” continued Holland. “I used to fight in '85 and now I fight in '70. Colby is not as big as a world weight, so he may notice that he has to put his ass down to '55.”

Paddy Pimblet's thoughts on 'irrelevant' Colby Covington

The speech by Covington and Pimbett, who have settled their apparent feud in the cage, performed shortly after a heated argument behind the stage at UFC 314 in Miami. After Pimplett defeated Dominant Michael Chandler, he exchanged barbens with “chaos” when the security went in to split them up.

While he dealt with the UFC 314 press conference before the incident, “The Baddy” made it clear what he thinks of the polarizing American world weight.

“Mr irrelevant, try to stay relevant,” said Pimblett. “He just passed and started chatting – because he saw that there was a camera.

“Come over, started saying: 'Ah, you fight for peels.' He said something about Chandler who is 2-4.

“I saw him at Power Slap for the other week and went past him. I stared at him and he just looked at the floor like the little P boy he is,” added Pimblett. “If there is a camera there, he tries to say something. But he was bound. We all have absolutely terrorized it.”
