Michigan man who was arrested in connection with the alleged fraud | Crime stories

Van Wert, Ohio (Wlio) – A man from Michigan is in connection with a suspected fraud that aims at an older person in Van Wert County.

The Sheriff's office of the van value said that the MPs received a call from a resident that someone claimed to be from a federal authority and ask an older person to pay a bond to receive information on the preparation of the payment for collection. When the MPs came to the victim's residence, they found 29-year-old Andrii Osoba from Michigan on the property. He was arrested and charged with theft of older people. He is currently in the Van value County Correctional Facility and the case is still being examined.

Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach recommends that everyone who in this case receives calls like that should put on immediately and not pass on personal information or financial details to these callers. The residents are also encouraged to report possible fraud -backs to the authorities.

Van value, Ohio – Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach announced that the Sheriff's office on Thursday, July 17th, had arrested a person in connection with a possible fraud. Sheriff Riggenbach said that the MPs received a call for a person who turned to someone and demanded that the person pay a bond. The caller allegedly identified with a federal authority. The caller gave the victim specific instructions for the amount of money to pay the bond, to pack the money and that someone comes to the victim's residence in order to collect the money.

The MPs responded to the victim's residence and found a person on the property. A man, Andrii Osoba, 29 years old, from Warren, Michigan, was arrested and charged with theft of older people, a crime of the 3rd degree. OSOBA was brought to the Correctional Facility by Van value of the county and is captured in a bar loan defined by Van Wert Municipal Court. The incident is still being examined.

Sheriff Riggenbach advises everyone who receives similar calls to those described above in order to hang up immediately. Citizens should not give these callers personal data, including their date of birth or their social security number. He also warned the people not to give these calls to these calls. Citizens are encouraged to report attempts from callers to receive money, personal or bank information, gift cards, etc. for the Sheriff of the Van Wert County. Law enforcement agencies do not turn to the public to inform them that they owe a bond. Criminal prosecution authorities also do not come home to pick up the money from which they say it is needed for the bond.
