The Southern University sponsors brotherhood, while the investigation of deaths is examined

The police charged a man from North Texas in connection with the death of the 20-year-old student at Southern University Caleb Wilson.

Dallas -Southern University has the Beta -Vigma chapter from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

After a 20-year-old student in the school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died in a reported incident this year. And according to officials, the police charged a man from North Texas in his death.

The university's student matters department started the investigation in February. After a disciplinary negotiation, the chapter for violation of the code of conduct was classified as responsible for students, including harassment capital, said school officials.

As a result, the chapter was removed as a recognized student organization on campus. This means that all fraternity privileges are canceled, and the chapter must also remove physical markings such as benches, monuments and diagrams on the site of Southern University.

Caleb McCray, a 23-year-old from Wylie, was charged with Wilson's death because of criminal harassment and manslaughter. McCray's former Wylie High School football coach confirmed that he visited Southern University after graduating in 2019.

A likely affidavit states that witnesses from the Wilson police and eight further commitments to the Omega Psi Phi Brotherhood on February 26 went to a Flooring company. On arrival, the commitments turned into gray welding raids, stood in line and were beaten four times with boxing gloves of at least three people, including McCray.

The affidavit states that McCray Wilson hit his chest four times and then broke Wilson to the ground and no longer reacted. According to reports, he seemed to suffer a seizure and urinated himself.

According to Wilson, the tour was reportedly concerned, the affidavit, in detail, changed his clothes and brought him to the hospital.

During a later autopsy, a small bruise was found on the right side of his chest. Wilson died of a harassment incident when he promised the Omega Psi Phi Brotherhood at Southern University, the police said.

Omega Psi Phi is a historically black fraternity that was founded in 1911. The Beta -Vigma chapter has been part of the life of Southern's campus for decades.
