The German doctor will be available before court hearings against serial stoves

Johannes M., a 40-year-old palliative doctor who was popular because of his humor and commitment, was brought to trial in Berlin last Monday because he allegedly murdered 15 of his patients.

Colleagues and family families admired his patience, professionalism and willingness to help without knowing that he could be one Germany'S notorious series killer. The public prosecutor examines 96 additional cases, including the suspicious death of his wife's mother, which indicates that the true tribute can be far higher.

Twelve years ago, Johannes M. wrote his dissertation about “Why do people kill?” The assertion of a psychiatrist that killing is part of the spectrum of human behavior. In retrospect, his work made his actions extremely shadowed.

He was arrested in August 2024 and is suspected of having killed his mother -in -law, a cancer patient, during a weekend visit to Poland in early 2024. Reports show that her death has arisen from an injection that he administered. In Germany, the alleged murders occurred between September 2021 and July 2024, which aimed at elderly patients in a critical condition and all lived in Berlin.

An incident reported by the Spiegel in May 2024 increased the suspicion when Johannes M. called a surveillance doctor from outside the budget of an 87-year-old patient, and reported that he was bordered on flames shortly after his visit. When asked if he was doing well, he replied: “Don't worry, that has already happened before.”

The emergency services kept the patient alive for hours, but Johannes M. asked them to stop and claim that it was her last wish. No immediate red flags were raised. In another case, he treated an 84-year-old patient in a medical facility who was days before discharge.

Within 10 minutes after the visit of John M., the patient was dead. Similar to Niels Högel, a German nurse who was convicted of killing 87 patients in 2019, Johannes M. was allegedly used to impair sedatives, which led to breathing. In five cases, he burned the victims' houses and once killed a patient in front of her daughter.

The relatives of the victims described patients who have decided to live despite severe pain and were based on Johannes M. to relief. A relative of a 57-year-old victim said she counted it to put her grandson in school. After a one -year break from patient contact in 2023, Johannes M. allegedly resumed in seven months in seven months in 2024.

The suspicion, when his monitoring doctor reported four deaths in connection with fires in connection with fires in June and July 2024 and found the unnecessary visits by Johannes M. in their houses. Nine days after her complaint, he was arrested at Berlin Airport after his return from vacation.

In his dissertation, Johannes M. wrote on page 37: “I wanted to concentrate more on the murder of older people. I thought the numbers were much higher, but that did not happen. As a result, the original goal of my thesis of studying murders in nursing hearings was not realized.” The terrifying irony of his words now appears over his process when the authorities uncover the extent of his alleged crimes.
