Eugenio Suárez is interested in Detroit Tigers back to the 2025 trade closes

Atlanta-Die Arizona Diamondbacks will probably be a seller on the 31st July, which means that the two-time all-star knight Baseman Eugenio Suárez will probably be in motion.

Suárez, an upcoming Free Agent, hits 31 Home Runs and a national League-leading 78 RBIs through 95 games with an ops of 0.889. At the end of April he became the 19th player in the MLB history, who scored four Homer in one game. The 34-year-old was one of the best right-handers in the 2025 season.

And he already knows where he wants to play.

The Detroit tiger.

“To end where it all started, it would be cool,” said Suárez on Monday, July 14, just one day before participating in the All-Star game 2025 MLB. “It would mean a lot to me.”

Almost 17 years ago, the Tigers Suárez from Venezuela signed for a bonus of 10,000 US dollars during the international signing period from 2008.

His debut took place on June 4, 2014 against the Toronto Blue Jays in Comerica Park. He performed in 85 games this season and scored with four homes .242.

On December 11, 2014, the Tigers Suárez (and Pitching Perspective Jonathon Crawford) exchanged against the Cincinnati Reds against right-handed Alfredo Simón. Suárez has been playing for the red, Seattle Mariners and Diamondbacks since trade.

“Since I was there, it was much different,” said Suárez and compared the tigers of the 2010s with the 2025 tigers. “It is a new team with many young people and many talents. I think you have a really good chance to make it more than the playoffs this year.”

The Tigers have a 59:38 record and a lead of 11 ½ games in the American League Central from the all-star break, but they were able to use upgrades: a swing-and-miss reliever (or two) and a right-handed hit by the third Baseman.

Suárez believes that the Tiger can win the World Series in 2025.

He is still looking for his first championship after losing the Alds 2014 with the Tigers, the 2020 NL Wildcard series with the Reds and the 2022 Alds with the Mariners.

“You currently have the best pitcher in the league: Tarik Skubal,” said Suárez. “You have a few good players. I think you really have the chance to win all year round.”

For the Tiger, Zach McKintry, who replaced Houston Astros-Shortstop Jeremy Peña in the all-Star game, acts as the primary third of Baseman, although he played six positions this season, including more than 200 inner fields.

McKinStry has been a candidate for the regression in the past two months: in his first 88 games, he scored with an ops of 0.836.

It makes sense for the tigers to follow Suárez on July 31.

“We never know,” Suárez said. “Baseball is baseball. I could end where everything started. It doesn't sound crazy. We will see.”

When Suárez ends up elsewhere – with the Mariners, Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees among the potential applicants – the Tiger would have another opportunity to acquire him in this offseason in the free agency.

He is “definitely” interested in joining the Tigers.

“All 30 teams will be on the list,” said Suárez, “and Detroit will be one of them.”
