The Joy of Music Performance shows the summer programs of the South Pasadena Library | The southern Pasadenan

The South Pasadena Public Library organizes the penultimate event in its Wonderful Wednesday Summer series with a lively performance of Joy of music By Craig Newton on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. on the Oxley Street page of the library park. Newton will introduce ten different musical instruments and perform funny, high -energy songs that are perfect for children, but are fun for all age groups.

Summer programming will continue until August 2nd

The library Wonderful Wednesday The series ends on July 30th at 6:00 p.m. in the library community, but other summer activities will continue until August 2. This includes a robust list of storytimes, the summer reading program and events for children and adults.

StoryTime time plan:

  • Preschool storytime (age 3 to 5 years): Tuesdays, 10: 30–11: 00 p.m.
  • Small child -story time (1–3 years): Thursdays, 10: 30–10: 50 and 11: 00–11: 8pm
  • Family history (all age groups): Saturdays, 10: 30–11: 00 p.m.

These stories promote early literacy, social skills and cognitive development in appealing, age -appropriate paths.

Events for adults: Walk 'n Talk and all skill club

The Jalikts Club (AAC), designed for adults with disabilities, will meet on Thursday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m. in the Community Room 1115 in El Centro Street 1115. No registration is required.

The walk 'n Talk Book Club will meet on Wednesday, August 13th at 9:00 a.m. in front of the library in the Oxley Street. Prevention is required under Southpasadenaca.gov/ Register.

Summer reading program promotes the daily reading habits

The summer reading program runs until August 2 and encourages people of all ages to read every day and record their progress for prices. Studies show that children and teenagers who read at least 20 minutes a day achieve a measurable literacy advantage and avoid the “summer slide” in academic progress.
