WNBA All-Star game 2025: As you can see, schedule, roster

The 2025 WNBA All-Star game will be played in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday.

The Indiana Fever Guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx striker Napheesa Collier will act as team captains after completing the two top fan voters. But Clark will suspend the game on Saturday and the 3-point competition on Friday due to a groin injury.

Rhyne Howard (knee) from Atlanta Dream and Satou Sabally (knee) from Phoenix Mercury will also miss the game with injuries.

New York Night: Liberty Duo Sweep Friday Title

The celebrations on Friday evening had a New York taste. The Liberty Sabrina Ionescu won the 3-point shooting competition for the second time in three years, while teammate Natasha Cloud took the title “Challenge” home.

It is the second time in WNBA history that players from the same time have won both competitions that have been taking place at every all-star game since 2019, but the first time that this happened with two different players. In 2024, Allisha Gray from Atlanta Dream won both competitions, but she was unable to successfully defend a two title on Friday.

ESPN rated all five competitors in both competitions.

Injured Howard, Sabal, Clark, to miss the all-star game

Kayla McBride in Minnesota will replace the injured Atlanta Guard Rhyne Howard as a reserve in the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday, the league announced on July 15.

On Wednesday, Satou announced from Phoenix Sabally on social media that she will also miss the all-star game with an injury. Sabally was selected as one of 10 all-star starters in the coordination of fans, players and media.

McBride, who will play for Team Collier, was selected by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who names all the replacement players required for the game.

The Mystics' Brittney Sykes and Dream's Brionna Jones were appointed replacement player on Thursday.

All three fever all stars will be in the same team. The duties selected by Clark and Collier were announced on July 8th.

The two leading voices in fan members, Clark and Collier, first worked out from the eight remaining starters and then selected their teams from the 12 reserves. They also made a trade: exchange from head coaches.

All-Star reserves announced

Washington Mystics Sonia Citron and Kiki Irials, the Golden State Valkyries' Kayla Thornton and the Gabby Williams von Seattle Storm were all appointed for the first time when the reserves were released on July 6th in 2025.

Citron and Irafen appear Paige Bueckers as newcomers who will play in this year's game.

The 13 head coaches of the league selected the reserves. The coaches voted for three guards, five players and four players in both places and regardless of the conference. Trainers were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Called starter

The four guards and six players at the front who will make up this year's All-Star starter were announced on June 30th.

Nneka Ogwumike from Seattle Storm joined Wnba Grefors Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi as the only player in the history of the league with at least 10 WNBA all-star selection. A look at the full roster:

How the All-Star starters were selected

The top 10 all-star votes-votes-gets determined by a 50% fan vote, 25% current players and 25% media voting sausages automatically appointed starter to the All-Star game.

The two best voices were appointed captains. Clark ended with a WNBA high of 1,293,526 votes from fans and Collier received 1.176.020.

Lynx 'Reeve, Liberty's Brondello-all-star coach from Liberty

Cheryl Reeve from Minnesota and New York Sandy Brondello were selected as head coach for the WNBA All-Star game on Thursday.

The trainers are determined by the league rating. The head coaches of the two teams with the best records at the end of the game on Thursday, regardless of the conference, receive the all-star honor. At the end of the game on Thursday, Lynx (15-2) and Liberty (12-5) had the two best records in the WNBA.
