27 pictures of Durham City Run 5 km and 10 km Event 2025

Thousands put on their running shoes to take a 5 km or 10 km route through the city.

Paula Radcliffe and three-time winners of the London Marathon and the largest marathon runner in Great Britain at all times to fire the starting pistol.

Some attracted costume dress, which selected outfits such as ball dress and tutus, while they were added by music as part of the Durham Brass Festival.

Liam Aldridge won the 10 km long race in a time of only 31 minutes ten seconds.

In the meantime, Liam Taylor was crossed the finish line in the 5 km long event with a time of 16 minutes for 11 seconds.

It has become a staple for the city's summer plan.

It started on Wednesday with the organizer Steve Cram, who held an audience with the event in the Gala Theater and looked back on 1985 when he broke three world records in just 19 days.

Further events in the coming days will be a 10 km relay on Durham RaceCourse on Saturday morning.
