New Orleans (WVUE)-the police are investigating an accident in which a police officer of the New Orleans Police Department was injured in the French quarter late Friday evening.

According to the NOPD, the incident occurred shortly before midnight at the intersection of the streets Bourbon and Conti. The officer, whose identity was not published, was taken to a hospital by New Orleans Ems.
