NOPD officer injured hit-and-run in the French Quarter; Suspicious arrested

New Orleans (WVUE)-the police are investigating an accident in which a police officer of the New Orleans Police Department was injured in the French quarter late Friday evening.

According to the NOPD, the incident occurred shortly before midnight at the intersection of the streets Bourbon and Conti. The officer, whose identity was not published, was taken to a hospital by New Orleans Ems.

A source announces FOX 8 that the officer is in a stable state.

According to the authorities, two male suspects fled from the scene in a vehicle that may be in a parking garage in the 300 block of the Canal Street. The officials responded to this place and looked for the suspects.

The police confirmed that an adult male suspect was taken into custody in connection with the official of the official. The suspect was in the parking garage in the Canal Street shortly after midnight.
