Thomas Frank: Tottenham Manager 'In the long term'

Being Tottenham Hotspur Manager has not geared job security lately, but the new boss Thomas Frank is fearless of recent history and says that he is “in the long term”.

In his first press conference since joining June, Frank joked the Spurs job after he had never been released “a little more risk in his daily life”.

While Frank's tone was carefree, there has been no doubt in the past four years that the requirements of the role have proven to be difficult.

Spurs had four managers since June 2021, whereby Nuno Espirito Santo only lasted four months, Antonio Conte 16 months and Posecoglou -although he ended the club's 17 -year -old waiting for a large trophy by winning the Europa League.

“If you come to a large club, there is pressure,” said the Dane. “I like the ambitions and everything I do – every decision I have made is in the long term. It's not about surviving 18 months, it is long -term.”

The 51-year-old said that it was “extremely positive” that the club lifted the Europa League last season, and although he wants to bring more trophies with him, it is his main program to ensure that Spurs can compete on all fronts.

“[Winning the Europa League] gave them this fantastic trophy that this club deserves and needed, “he said.

“My goal is to add to this. The first goal is that we have to participate in all four tournaments and have to do it consistently.”

Frank spoke before Tottenham's first pre-season game against League One Side on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
