Pretend Almost family (Now on Netflix) it is important to understand the historical rivalry between Brazil and Argentina, which are rooted in political conflicts of the 20th century, which grew with changes in the regime and became mostly friendly football rivalry. And so a metaphor takes place in this Dumbass comedy, in which a Brazilian woman gets engaged to a beautifully snow -covered bariloche with an Argentine man and her dopy fathers. The film is said to be a shop window for Brazilian funny Lustelguy Leandro Hassum, which has become a Netflix basic food (see also: Fenced inPresent A vampire in the family) and it is noteworthy that large, broad yukfests like this are anchored. And this is particularly large and wide – and depressing.

The Gist: Otavio (Hassum) is a character that consists of around three details: it has a cafĂ© bar in Rio de Janeiro. He is Mariana's father (Julia Svacinna), a hopeful career. And his wife died, and although he has married Joana (Karina Ramil) again, there will always be a puddle in which the script has to immerse yourself when it has to manipulate our emotions. We open on a hard day in the bar. Otavio needs needs Needs Mariana to help, but she is up in the apartment and practices for her auditions for a conservatory in Paris. In the meantime, his stepson Felipinho (Joao Barreto) has been crossed and dances like a DORK for what Otavio calls “Toktok or Tuktuk or whatever” so that they receive an idea of the comedic sophisting of the film.

Otavio is the kind of self -berdied idiot who has always imagined that his daughter took over the family business, but never seemed to give a crap what she wanted. When she lands the music scholarship and everything is full to go, he sends her off by saying her bitterly: “If it doesn't work, don't call me.” Five minutes after the start of the film, and we already want to bring it into the crocodile pit. But Otavio is “funny”, so we can't hate him, right? Right? RIGHT? (Cough) (grilling)

Subtitle: three years later. Mariana comes home and is happy to see her father for some reason. She has great news: she met a man in the Miguel Conservatory (Simon Hempe). They marry. You will live in Europe and be a career musician. And – get Argentine. Dogs and cats! Live together! Mariana and Miguel have the families in Bariloche, a postcard-worthy winter ski resort in Patagonia, in which Miguel's family has a hotel. After Otavia took many of Joanas Hey-Don't-Be-An-Asshole lectures, he says again and again that he supports Mariana, no matter what happens, and we know that it is total crap. He protests too much or he tries to be the truth and it is as transparent as Trump's cellophan is.

And so Mariana, Otavia, Joana and Felipinho fly to Argentina and meet Miguel and his parents Hector (Gabriel Gothity) and Norma (Mariela Pizzo). From the beginning, Otavia looks like an unbearable child, so we spend a lot of time waiting for him to stop being a thrust and are actually nice to his future in -laws. The thing is that Hector is also a thrust and that the gap between Argentinier and Brazilian is not as wide. Her emotionally and psychologically stunted feeling of competitiveness manifests herself in Hijinks-Ski and toboggan curves and a particularly heated foosball tournament. In the meantime we will meet Miguel's model que sommelier ex-girlfriend, and there are tensions between him and Mariana, because if the film in the old break-up-and-make-up matter did not know, it would simply not know that it would simply not know What to do. But I know what to do: switch off this crap.

Almost family

Which films will you remind you of ?:: I forget was Meet the fockers A target wedding film? After a while, all of these shit simply blurred together.

Value value to look at: Svacinna uses her Emma Watsonesque Earnestness in the ungrateful role of the serious, set character that holds the film together.

Unforgettable dialogue: Otavio glazes on another competitive moment with his rival: “I will show the coconut head who the potato is.”

Sex and skin: None.

Our attitude: This nationalist metaphor: what was once a nuclear weapon race has turned into two old wings. Perhaps Almost family Can be read as a political satire, the two military juntas to equate who may want to use each other with smaller, mixing, narcissistic idiots. I will no longer pull this thread because I am not a historian, and also because this lazy comedy is not worth 81 minutes of your life, not to mention further times that I have thought about and what is possibly trying to say what is most likely not much.

No, like films Almost family To be intended, artificial, escapist joke machines, but if the comedy is not on the point, we are rather bored, annoyed or a delicious melange of both. As we have seen in other stupid comedies, there are Hassum Traghard attacks to compensate for a Doa screen book full of simple, formulaic conflicts and repeating comedy. The action consists of problems that can be easily solved and would actually not exist if these people were not film figures. There is a moment when the lecturer (or something) is repeated again of a joke and Hassum “again with it?” Bullseye: It is not intended to be a meta-comentary, but intentions and reality are often two different things.

Our call: Almost the fraudster. Skip.
