The second anniversary of Sinéad O'Connor's death is on July 26th

“When Sinéad was over, I cried my eyes for fourteen days. I still miss them,” he said Callan. “Of course it is a consolation (the expression of grief from the public), but Sinéad had two personas.

“One was in the public arena and the other was with her family and I saw her funeral as beautiful for her fans.

“At a personal level I never had advertising for Sinéad and it did it for all of us when she died, all the more hurtful.

“I visit her every week … and we have a conversation and I do it up to date.”

Seán O'Connor said he visits Sinéad O'Connor's grave “every week”.

When Callan said it was “very difficult as a father,” said Mr. O'Connor.

The radio presenter asked what he was doing for Sinéad, as “the famous part was cruel for her”, and he replied: “You can't do anything except being there.

“Sinéad could be outrageous in public and she could be outrageous in the family, she could be moody. In the end I always had sympathy for her, she was always marginally.

“We got on very well most of the time, sometimes she would fail with me.”

He also told the happy memory of the last time he saw Sinéad when they made a three -person vacation in Wexford, and said that it helped so much family around him during death.

“It was a sad time that helped the family around me,” he added.
