Luke Rockhold about Dricus du Plessis against 'f*cking Beast' Khamzat Chimaev

After training with Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev, Luke Rockhold shared an insight into the headliner of the UFC 319.

The champion of the middle weight, Dricus du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC), will try to die his third title defense if he Khamzat Chimaev (14-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) on August 16 in the United Center in Chicago (ESPN+ PAY-PER-VIEW, ESPN, ESPN, ESPN, ESPN,)) Start.

The former UFC middle weight champion Rockhold previously dealt with Chimaev and also hit the mats with Du Plessis.

“He is a beast,” Rockhold told Chimaev's submission radio. “He is a wrestler, he is a grappler, he will get relentless pressure. He will start quickly and hard. Can Dricus take it the first two rounds? This is life for his opponents. Can he withstand the barrage?”

Many experts and fighters think that if you can survive Plessis an early storm, Chimaev will go downhill – and Rockhold is right.

“I don't like these options for him,” said Rockhold about Chimaev. “I trained a lot with DDP. He is hard. He won't disappear. You have to dominate it from start to finish, or you have to end it early. I just don't see how Khamzat will keep this pressure. It can only last for so long.

“This is not a five-round material. DDP is hard. It is hard as hell. People don't give him much recognition. He is just uncomfortable, he has strange timing and rhythm and it is good. He mixes it. He is very confident.
