Here is a current Nascar story about the AP:

Charlotte, NC (AP) – The Legacy Motor Club sued the broker on Wednesday, who helped to negotiate a Charter by Rick Ware Racing, and accused him of not trying to buy the Nascar team from goods.

In his submission to North Carolina's Supreme Court, Legacy claimed that TJ Puchyr, who acted as a consultant for the Cup series team, who belongs to the seven-time Nascar champion Jimmie Johnson, violated the state of unjust and fraudulent trade practices by “insider knowledge and trust in the agreement of Legacy with RWR.

Legacy also accused Puchyr of giving public personal attacks against Johnson when he announced his plans for the purchase of the Warees tiny racing team last month.

The dispute did not begin long after the inheritance had concluded an agreement for Johnson and his partners of Knighthead Capital Management to buy one of the two charter from goods. According to Legacy, the deal for the next season is planning to expand to three full-time cup cars.

RWR claims that the deal is intended for 2027 because it is already under contract with RFK Racing to lease this organization a charter next season. Goods said that he did not read the contract exactly when he signed it to notice that he read in 2026 and that the RFK contract and the sale of a second charter would bring the Nascar team out of business next year.

Legacy sued in April, but when this fight plays out, Puchyr claims a deal for buying RWR. Puchyr is a co -founder of Spire Motorsports and now acts as a motorsport consultant.

“Mr. Puchyr was aware of the dispute of the parties. He knew about the purchase contract between Legacy and RWR that he helped with the broker,” claims the lawsuit. “Despite the knowledge of Mr. Puchyr's contract, his obligations within the framework of his advisory contract with Legacy, Contract Law of Legacy on a Charter … Mr. Puchyr recently announced that he intended to buy both RWRS charter for himself.”

The latest submission is part of two active lawsuits around Charter that surround the heart of the Nascar business model. Having one is of crucial importance for the survival of a team.

23xi racing and motorsports in the front row are included in a longer suit with NASCAR due to antitrust law against the most popular motorsport series in the USA. 23xi, together by NBA Great Michael Jordan and the first row, whose possession of entrepreneur Bob Jenkins, was refused last September, refused to sign the charta agreements offered by Nascar after more than two years of controversial negotiations.

The two were the only one of 15 organizations that reject the extensions. Instead, they sued and wait for a federal judge's decision to see whether they are their six combined chartas if the case goes to a negotiation date of December 1st.

Nascar said that it asked about settlement suggestions several times, but heard nothing. Nascar also does not intend to have negotiated the charter agreements held by 30 other teams.

Johnson said despite his own legal struggle last weekend that he supported a settlement in antitrust law.

“I would like to see a kind of settlement,” said Johnson. “I really don't think it's good for everyone to get into a knocking.”
