Death examinations underway after the woman's body was found on the Nashville Road side

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police Murder investigives after a woman was found dead on a roadside on Saturday morning.

MNPD said that the woman's body was found by a man who went with his dog on the Knight Valley Drive near Harding Place.

The officers arrived at the scene shortly before 7 a.m. and found the woman's body on the side of the road. MNPD said her body was covered by a garbage bag.

The woman's body was brought to the medical examiner's office to identify and determine her cause of death.

“Anyone who has information about this case is asked to call crime stopper on number 615-742-7463. Caller at Crime Stopper can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward,” said Mnpd.
