Road closures and park restrictions for Coldplay in Camp Randall Stadium | Traffic technology


The city of Madison announces several road closures and park restrictions to prepare for the Coldplay concert in Camp Randall Stadium Saturday, July 19th. These measures should support security and event logistics for pedestrians.

List of the streets concerned:

N Randall Avenue

  • remains closed between Engineering Drive and W Dayton Street Because of the ongoing supply building.

N Breese terrace

  • Will be Closed daily on Monday, July 14th For concert setup.
  • Traffic to south is temporarily permitted every weekday between 4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for the afternoon price.
  • Beginning 8:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19thN Breese terrace will be Fully closed between Regent Street and University Avenue until 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 21st.

Monroe Street

  • Will be Closed between Regent Street and Randall Avenue start with 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19thand remains closed until about 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20th.

Regent street

  • Will be Closed between Spooner Street and Randall Avenue For approximately An hour after each concert (out of 11 p.m. to midnight) Safety of pedestrian security.
  • During these closings, the Madison police will lead the traffic to the east in the Regent Street towards Park Street.

Temporary parking restrictions on the street will be available as a typical UW home football game, which the Regent Street and Monroe Street comprises for concert exit traffic.

In addition, a charter from Regent Street to the Dayton Street is determined in the N Charter Street.

Residents, concert goers and drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and enable additional travel time. Alternative routes are strongly recommended during the closure periods.
