Flood guard for Baltimore Area issued

Baltimore, MD – The National Weather Service has published a flood guard for the Baltimore area.

The clock remains in force on Saturday, July 19, until 10 p.m.

Prognostics have observed persistent showers and thunderstorms in the northern parts of the DC -U railway. These thunderstorms produce immediate precipitation rates from 1 to 3 inches per hour with locally higher quantities.

It is expected that these storms will remain almost inpatient in the next few hours, which can lead to a fall over sensitive and urban areas. In the most continuing storms, 2 to 5 inch total precipitation quantities with a worst case of 5 to 7 inches are possible.

Excessive drainage can lead to floods of rivers, streams, streams and other low -lying and flood -endangered places. Floods can occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

The residents should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take measures when flood warnings are issued.
