When they arrived, Schnitker said that the victim went into the basement to watch a film. A for a while later Schnitker joined her, lay next to him on an air mattress, touched her, finally removed her clothes and dealt with her.

Three days later, the victim told the police what happened and provided them with the clothes that she was wearing. A DNA analysis combined Schnitker with the attack.
