Chase ends in a fatal crash after crossing NC, SC State Lines | Crime messages

Two people are now charged both in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Cleveland County, NC – Two men are charged, and a third person is dead after a chase in Cleveland County, North Carolina, after South Carolina started and ended with a crash, reports.

The Cleveland County's office said that the MPs followed a stolen Chevy Taoe on Saturday at 2:40 a.m. on Highway 18 in Randall Road. The MPs tried to stop the vehicle with South Carolina plate near Davis Road and the South Lafayette Street, but the driver started immediately.

The MPs said that the chase lasted about five miles and ended at the South Carolina line in the Dravo Road. The MPs said that the driver had not reduced the speed to avert the Dravo Road in the South Carolina State Road 11-98. The vehicle drove into a ditch in front of his head and set the airbags.

As Garry Tyrone Martin from Gaffney, South Carolina, identified driver ran away and crossed national borders. Later he was captured by MPs at the York County Sheriff in South Carolina and treated for injuries associated with the crash.

Cleveland County's MPs said there were two passengers in the Tahoe. The rear passenger was identified as 20-year-old Marvin Alex Woody. He was found in the possession of Meth and moved to the Cherokee County's office in South Carolina. The passenger was a woman and was aware of when the MPs found her, but she was passed out shortly afterwards. CPR and life-saving measures were tried, but were unsuccessful. Her name will only be published when family members can be notified by South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Martin, the driver, is now exposed to several charges in North Carolina, including the possession of a stolen motor vehicle, law enforcement, the law enforcement authorities, the inattentive and ruthless driving and several traffic -related crimes. According to Cleveland County MPs, SCHP will also pursue additional charges associated with the crash.
