UFC 318 results: Michael Johnson defeats Daniel Zellhuber (Highlights)

Johnson (24-19 MMA) will enter the competition with a 2-member winning streak in his latest Octagon appearances.

In the meantime, Daniel Zellhuber (15-3 MMA) will recover after he has suffered a setback from Esteban Ribovics at Esteban Ribovics last September in his recent efforts at UFC 306. Previously, 'Golden Boy' had driven three victories in a row.

The referee occurs and we have a short break so that Daniel can recover. We restart and Johnson lands a right hand over the top. He lands another and then goes to the body with a push. Zellhuber with a head step that misses the brand. Johnson with another quick slip and rip. He beats the body with a 3-punch combination. Another nice deep kick from 'The Menace'. A good right hand when Daniel tries to close the distance. The horn sounds around one.

The second round of this UFC 318 Lightweight Matchup begins and Daniel Zellhuber quickly takes the center of the cage and lands a bodies. He lands another. Michael Johnson in return with a shock to the body. He follows the body with 3 hooks. A sneaky leaving of 'The Menace'. Cellhuber with a hard base. Johnson answers with a low kick and then with a push on the body. Another solid body comes from Zellhuber. And another. Johnson comes with a straight left that misses the brand. A head kick is partly connected to Daniel Zellhuber. “The threat” with a left that drops his younger counterpart. He jumps on him, but then decides to get up again. Another nice combination of Johnson. Zellhuber seems to have recovered. He throws three loyal assault. A great 1-2 by Johnson. Under one minute remains in round two. Johnson to the body with another push. A kick by Daniel Zellhuber in return to close the round.

The third and last round begins and it is another back and forth. Johnson continues to work with his thrust and left hand over the top, while Daniel Zellhuber works his kicks with a high volume.
