A few hours before the 3-point competition and the skills challenge, the celebrations of the weekend started, basketball fans had the chance to meet some of their favorite all stars at the Indiana Convention Center. Paige Bueckers was one of these players, and the line to get the chance to shake the overall election of 2025 No. 1.

In a 34-second clip, Maggie Vanoni, basketball reporter for women, published a video of a number of fans in the congress center.

This is an incredibly good sign for the league that only suffered a big blow, with the greatest star missing the all-star game in its hometown. While Clark receives the proportion of the lion in recognition of the increasing popularity of WNBA and women's basketball in general, young stars like Bucker are also part of the explosion.

Bueckers, who played only 18 professional games, makes the All-Star team as the sixth best Votter-getter in the league. Only Clark, team captain Napheesa Collier, Aliyah Boston, A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart have more.

After her excellent career at Uconn, Paige Bueckers quickly got used to the next level. In the first half of the campaign, she scored an average of 18.4 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals. For comparison, Clark had an average of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in her rookie year.

Unfortunately for the wings, Bueckers has not yet translated too many wins. The team is currently 6-17 and sits in the 12th place of 13 teams and has a defeat against four games in the Game Break 2025 WNBA.
