Jesse Watters has claimed Gavin Newsoma via Trump phone call


The moderator of Fox News, Jesse Watters, reluctantly apologized to her governor of California, Gavin Newsom, in her escalating legal dispute on Thursday of his show.

The host gave back allegations that the governor had lied a call with President Trump during the anti-Ice protests in Los Angeles.

“He did not deliberately deceive anyone, so I'm sorry, he didn't lie. He was only confusing and unclear. Next time, governor, why don't you say what you mean?” The Maga favorite said.

Last month, the governor submitted and accused a defamation of 787 million US dollars against Watter's and Fox News Prime time misleading to edit a video from Trump to support the claim.

Newsom's lawyers said Watters broadcast a deceptively edited clip of Trump, who indicated that he spoke to the governor, shortly before the President mobilized the US Marines on June 9, showed that the call took place days earlier.

The lawyers of Newsom argued in the complaint that Trump could incorrectly mean by the recent appearance of the call that he and the governor discussed the use of troops according to LA.

However, the governor had already said publicly that he spoke to Trump after midnight on June 7th, and the military was not discussed.

Newsom said they had not spoken after June 7 and rejected the claim in a contribution to X.

“There was no call,” newsoma tweeted on June 10th.

After submitting the lawsuit on June 28th in a court in Delaware, the lawyers from Newsom said that they would drop the case if the governor received a withdrawal and a formal on-air investigation.

During his monal apology on Thursday, Watters told the audience that he thought that newsoms X Post claimed that the two had not spoken at all.

“We thought the dispute was about whether there was a call when he said without the qualification that there was no call,” he said. “Now Newsom tells us what was in his head when he wrote the tweet.”

After Watter's license, Newsom showed little signs of remorse or withdrawal.
