Vancouver Fireworks: 2025 Celebration of the light guide, tips


Find out what you should know before you go.

The Vancouver skyline will be illuminated this weekend with an electrifying pyrotechnic display of a team based in Yukon.

A pyrotechnic group called Midnight Sun came from the Northern Territory on Saturday, July 19th, crowds of thousands. The team, which is made up of voluntary pyrotechnics, was actually in Vancouver in Vancouver in Vancouver. You won the event in 2022.

This is the first of three fireworks shows in the Honda Celebration of Lights Festival 2025, with two more events on Wednesday, July 23, and on Saturday, July 26th. All remaining teams are Canadians and mark a first in the history of the offshore fireworks festival.

The Metro Vancouver weather forecast shows no rain, but the participants should prepare for all conditions. The organizers recommend packing sunscreen, lots of water and a rain poncho to keep them dry in the case.

Tickets for the celebration of the light

While the fireworks can be enjoyed free of charge in Vancouver at different locations, there is a ticket area in Vancouvers West End on and near English Bay Beach.

Tickets for Inukshuk Point, including dinner, dessert and a (alcoholic) drink, cost 243 US dollars for taxes. Those looking for seats on the stands are looking for 68 US dollars per ticket. Private cabanas can also be booked.

Come to the event

The participants are asked to walk, drive, roll or transport them because they are environmentally friendly and offers easy access.

If you go to the event or go through these areas, add Mobi (Bike Share) and Lime (Scooter Share) to busy stations additional docking capacity. On events on site, their teams are helped to help the drivers smoothly and to celebrate.

Come to the event: driver

People who drive to the event should arrive early to find parking spaces. Be ready to go from your parking lot. Driving community, if possible.

The road closures apply from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the west end, including Davie, Denman and Beach Avenue. The access roads to Kits Point are open again at 11 p.m. from 6 p.m. after the spread of masses.

The residents can park at certain access points in this area, but must show a valid parking permit or valid proof of their address.

Drivers must not stop on a city bridge to see the fireworks.

Reaching the event: public transport

Translink will increase the service in the city center of Vancouver during the event, but travelers should plan an additional pendulum time due to repressed. Additional transit police, transit security and skytrain companions will be at stations to support and guide customers.

The next Skytrain stations of the festival are Burrard (Expo Line) and Yaletown-Roundhouse (Canada line). Numerous buses drive along the Georgia into the streets of the Denman, and No. 6 takes you from Granville to the streets of the Denman.

Several buses, including No. 9 and No. 99, serve Kitsilano.

The following changes to the bus service are put into force:

  • Special pre-event shuttles will run from Burrard Station to cross the Denman Street and West Georgia Street from 6.30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Special post-event shuttles will end from the crossing of the Bidwell Street and West Georgia Street.
  • Customers are discontinued at the intersection of Burrard Street and West Georgia Street (near Burrard Station) and then at the Waterfront train station.
  • Special post-event shuttles to West and North Vancouver will run from the intersection of West Georgia Street and Denman Street.
  • Due to road closures, routes No. 5, No. 6 (5 p.m. to midnight) and #23 (8 to midnight) are diverted.

The skytrain is operated every night every two to three minutes before and after the fireworks.

  • Access to the entrances to Burrard, Granville and Waterfront stations is changed due to potential overcrowding.
  • Bicycles are only allowed at the skytrain after 10:30 p.m. until the crowds are clear.

The Seabus sailing every 15 minutes will be every 10 minutes from 1 p.m. from 9:30 p.m. from 9:30 p.m. from 9 p.m. to the last sailing.

Tips for pets

Fireworks and masses can scare animals. Think about leaving you at home so that you are not afraid.

  • All dogs present must be on a leash and carry the correct identification. The city states that 97 percent of the licensed dogs that wear tags are returned to their owners.
  • To report a lost dog, call Animal Services with 311.

Traffic effects through road closures, crowds

Festival goers should expect road closures and traffic disorders in the west end, in Stanley Park and in Kitsilano.

Wednesday, July 16 to Friday, July 18th

  • Full road closure

    • Burnaby Street from Beach Avenue to Bidwell Street

Saturday, July 19th

  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. – traffic controls in force

    • Periodic traffic controls for the burden in the Beach Avenue
    • Beach Avenue, which was closed for traffic, is initiated by Bike Lane

  • 6.00 p.m. to midnight – full road closures

    • Beach Avenue/Pacific Street from Stanley Park to Thurlow Street
    • Davie Street from Denman Street to Burrard Street
    • Denman Street from the Sanberi Street to Beach Avenue

Watch from the boats on the water

The organizers of the festival will mark an exclusion segment in English with a marine bay. Boat drivers have to stay outside the scope. The people who are not familiar to run their boats at night should instead look at the exhibition from the beaches from the beaches.

  • Follow the safe boat guidelines by wearing a boat license and do not consume alcohol on the water.
  • Watch the fireworks at a safe distance without disturbing larger ships.

Notes for participants

During the entire event, several food trucks will be on site and offer a number of culinary options for hungry participants.

Festival goers should arrive early in front of large crowds.

During the competition in the west end, several road closures will come into force, and in some areas the residents will only carry out. If possible, take public transport.

The participants should ensure that they take all their things with them and properly dispose of garbage, recycling and composting.

Lost and found

The Lost and found is located in the volunteer headquarters in the pavilion in Alexandra Park in Beach Avenue between Bidwell and Burnaby Street.

First aid

People who suffer injuries can accommodate first -aid services on the festival site. Take a look at the festival card and look for the first help symbol. You can also visit the lifeguard station in the bathhouse in English Bay.
