The Chavara Thekumbhagam police have registered a case against Satheesh (40) in connection with the death of his wife Athulya Shekhar (29), found dead in their apartment in Sharjah in their apartment in Sharjah. The case was submitted on the basis of a complaint by Athula's parents who supposedly had a bad game in the death of her daughter.

Satheesh, born in Sasthamkotta, was charged with murder, cruelty against women who are voluntarily injured, voluntarily causing serious injuries with dangerous weapons or means as well as demanding and fascinating dowry under relevant sections of Indian law.

According to the complaint, Satheesh began to abuse physically and mentally shortly after her marriage, and said that the dowry he received was inadequate. From 2023 the couple lived together in an apartment in Sharjah, where the alleged abuse continued.

Two days before her death, Satheesh allegedly attacked Athulya, hit her with a plate on her head, stepped in her stomach and suffocated her by pressing on her neck. The police suspect that he murdered them in their apartment in Dubai at some point between 2:47 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The police recorded the explanation of Athula's mother Thulasibhai on Saturday. Athulya was found dead in her apartment on Saturday. A video of the attack that Athulya had sent to her sister has also been created.

Athulya married Satheesh in 2014. The parents informed the police that Satheesh 43 took a confidently from gold ornaments and a two-wheeler as a dowry.

Friends of Athulya told Manorama News that she was exposed to repeated abuse due to her husband. Her parents claim that she would never have committed suicide.

When Athula's girlfriend Sabina talked to Manorama News, he expressed her shock about the incident. “Athulya was a very brave person. We are destroyed to hear what happened. On Saturday evening she was also active in our WhatsApp group,” said Sabina.

She remembered that Athulya had previously spoken about abuse. “He tortured her and behaved like a psycho,” she added, describing it as extreme abuse. “Athulya would never do something like that. She was afraid of the idea of ending her life. She always said she could never do it. Athulya always spoke about her daughter,” said Sabina. Athulya was the daughter of S Rajashekharan Pillai and Thulasibhai.
