Leeds confirms his commitment to LGBT+ including support in good time to the Pride Weekend

The event is expected to attract over 60,000 people, as the city center is changed on Sunday, July 20, with a colorful parade.

For this year's celebration, which is the greatest free pride in Great Britain, Leed's city council confirms his commitment to LGBT+ included.

The Council first determined a goal for Leeds in 2018 to be an LGBT+ inclusion, and this was renewed last year with the start of the LGBT+ plans 2024-2029 LGBT+.

The LGBT+ HUB of the Council offers a forum for LGBT+ -Technik with which the council services, partners in the legal and voluntary sectors and in the Feedback division to speak, and to give them to give them how they form their services and guidelines.

This year's Pride Parade will begin on Sunday at 12.15 p.m. opposite the town hall of Leeds before going down Briggate.

As every year, the Council has contributed an access bus to ensure that the Pride event is open to everyone. The bus will take part in the parade, in which rooms were booked in advance.

Council member Fiona Venner, executive member of the city council of Leeds for Equality, Health and Wellbegg said: “We love to see everyone to be proud of Leeds, it is a brilliant celebration of equality and our living LGBT+ community.

“As always, we are working hard on the fact that Leeds is a really LGBT+ safe and inclusive city. The Council recently launched an anti -discrimination campaign to recognize that, among other forms of discrimination, homophobia, biphobia and transthobia, there is a real problem.”

Information on accessibility:

On the Millennium Square (also as an accessible viewing area (AVA)), there will be an increased access platform that is reserved for disabled people and their supervisors. In addition to the AVA, there is a changing toilet and other disabled toilets. There are also accessible toilets in the constant toilet supply under Millennium Square. In the lower Briggate there is also an AVA with its own dedicated, accessible toilet supply.
