What you should pay attention to in today's NASCAR Cup races in the Dover

The race for the Final Cup Playoff Spot continues today on the Dover Motor Speedway.

Here is what you can see in today's 400-round race.

Kyle Busch on a role

Kyle Busch has achieved back-to-back-top 10 placements and reduced 35 points from his deficit to the playoff cutline. He enters 37 points today behind Bubba Wallace, who holds the last playoff spot.

Busch finished fourth last year on this 1-mile concrete course.

Busch's focus is on the end of his 77-Race-win-Dürre, but he knows that another good performance could close his gap to the cutline.

“Points take care of themselves when they run well,” said Busch, who starts the 10th place. “The results are important. If you are able to achieve stage points and get good surfaces, all sums are equated with a higher point and you do not have to look at the sheet. Obviously with a win and you are really unable to pay attention to it.

“This is certainly on our radar. We had a few good weeks in which we invented part of the deficit. I have the feeling that there is potential and opportunity for us to continue, and we want to continue to climb in this way and sit over the cut to make the playoffs.”

Ryan Preec is also after the move. He enters three points behind Wallace for the last playoff spot. Preece begins today's race 11. Wallace begins 22nd place.

A new tire

Goodyear brought a new tire to Dover and the teams received training and qualifications on Saturday, which were canceled by rain.

This will be a challenge for competitors in today's races.

“I think everything we can really do at this point is just to try to dissect all similarities that the tire may have this weekend to change that we may have seen all year round,” said Chase Elliott, who will start on the bar.

“Really make your best information about the information you have in front of you. I have the feeling that the stuff is always a bit formed when you come to these places for the first time.”

Challenge in the season

The Nascar challenge in the season is on the last four drivers.

Tyler Reddick goes against Ty Gibbs. John Hunter Nemechek stands in front of Ty Dillon.

Said Reddick from his Matchup with Gibbs: “It feels as if I was every time I was in Dover, since Ty was in the Cup series. I can at least see him on the wayside when I do rounds, and yes, last year I have done the feeling that I have the feeling that I have a few good race this weekend.”

The winners of both matchups appear at 1 million US dollars for the champion in the final of the next week in Indianapolis.

Watch the pit road

Dover has one of the densely box roads on the race track. This can lead to problems between competitors.

The race last year had only one Pitstraße that accelerated the penalty, but the previous three cup races in Dover had an average of eight pit streets accelerated. The speed of the pit streams is 35 miles per hour.
