Wrexham signs New Zealand's Liberato Cacacace from Empoli


Wrexham continued the preparations for her latest promotion -Push and signed the New Zealand International Defender Liberato Cacace from the Italian pages of Empoli.

The club announced on Friday that Cacace had affiliated a three -year contract due to a non -mentioned fee. British media reports stated that the former record of the Welsh club was paid by £ 2 million ($ 2.7 million) for Sam Smith in January.

“I am very happy to sign for this historical association, and I can't wait to get started,” said Cacace in an explanation.

“From the outside, look at what you can do here is something to which I want to be part. The family you have here-it is a close-meshed club and that has tempted me.

“I had a great call to the manager and then I really wanted to sign.”

The signing comes when Wrexham continues their pre -season tour through Australia and New Zealand, where they will play in New Zealand Capital Wellington Phoenix on Saturday.

Cacace, who started his career at Wellington, won 33 caps for New Zealand.

“We are very happy to welcome Libby in Wrexham and look forward to integrating him into the squad on our return home,” said Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson.

Wrexham begins the championship season and her attempts to advertise the Premier League in Southampton on August 9th.
