The popular deodorant recall affects over 67,000 cases that are sold at Walmart, Amazon and Dollar Tree

A popular deodorant brand has issued a recall due to a difference in the established manufacturing process.

Last week, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and AP Deauville issued a voluntary recall for over 67,000 cases of Power Stick Deodorant due to “CGMP deviations”, which is a difference in the regulations for good manufacturing practice that obliges the FDA regulations.

The recall was triggered for the first time last Thursday (July 10) and applies to more than 20,000 cases of the brand's “Power Fresh” tick for their roll-on-antipiper deodorant over 22,400 cases of the “spring fresh”.

In the past two years, an alarming and inexplicable increase in recalls has emerged. In 2024, around 300 foods were issued, with the recalls associated with almost 1,400 diseases, a report by the research group for public interests.

Of the 1,400 diseases, 487 people got sick enough to request hospitalization and 19 people died. While these numbers are still low when they are weighed against the entire US population, they are also twice as many hospital stays and deaths from food diseases in 2023.

The recent recall of food was the recall of Danone Us recall to all Yocrunch products that are currently available on the market on Friday after customers had reported plastic pieces in the Dome Topper, which contain various sweet delicacies such as Oreos or M & MS. Sharp plastic pieces could be a suffocating danger or other risks.

The recall does not apply to the yogurt itself, but only to the yogurt top container.

Many start and process data are involved in the recall, which extends from July 7th to September 4th. You can find the full list of the products concerned here.
