Corey Conners finds Groove on the left to storm the ranking in the open

Corey Conners was at Royal Portrush on Saturday morning after cut the number – and he played as if he had nothing to lose.

That worked firmly in his favor.

The Canadian shot a 5-below 66 to move 41 seats on the ranking and the top 10, with a large part of the field still completing. He sits under the open championship at 4.

Conners, who was the lonely Canadian, who found the weekend at the Open Championship, had to struggle with the speed of the Greens in the first two days (they hovered on the stim pm at 11 a.m. – for comparison, the Greens in the Oakmont Country Club for the US Open were around 15) and had many putts on Friday on Thursday and Friday. But he made a simple adjustment on Saturday and burst phenomenally, won blows and sitting on the Greens for day 14.

He was again on his normal, consistent self from the tee and strike with his ball. Add it and he was the first in the strokes won: totally.

The 5-little effort by Conners was the early low round of the day and only two from the low round of the week, which was filmed by Scottie Scheffler on Friday.

The Canadian opened with a birdie in the first before adding two to No. 7 and 8 in a row. He missed a short par-saver in 9th place of just four feet to make a bogey, but got it back to No. 10 with a birdie.

He also Birte the Par-5 12 before taking a 42-foot bomb on his final hole to get into the house.

The round could have been even lower when Conners missed three Birdie attempts of less than 10 feet on Saturday, while he was out of 15 feet in 15th place.

Conners, the Canadian male golfer, was a consistent presence on large championship best until 2025. At the US Open, he trends another big result before he was forced to withdraw due to a wrist injury.

Sportsnet told the Open this week that he believed that things were “normal” with his wrist and said on Friday after his round that he was doing the ball well, even though he admitted that he had to struggle with the strength from left in his career.

With a hot putter and some balls of balls, Conners can now strive to raise a load in the final round.
