Levi onwuzurike from Detroit Lions for the season with ACL injury

All park -Levi Onwuzurike was operated on for an ACL injury and will miss the entire 2025 season, said Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell on Sunday.

“Levi's operation was – it was significant,” Campbell told reporters on the first day of the training camp. “But it has to be done. From his control and it had to be done.”

Onwuzurike, who was unable to carry out a list in the reserve/physically on Thursday, was probably excited during the absence of Alim McNeill, who tore his ACL in December and is expected to miss the early parts of 2025.

After Onwuzurike had to do with a back injury last season that kept him away for all 2022 and limited him to 10 games in 2023. He scored 28 duels and 1½ sacks, and his 47 print (including the playoffs) was a team high mark. His pass-rush profit rate of 11.9% was 74th place among the 294 defenders who saw 100 or more pass-rush opportunities.

With Onwuzurike Out, Tyleik Williams will have the opportunity to play a larger role in the first round.

“Surely Levi loses, that hurts,” said Campbell. “But it helps that we have Tyleik … … I think we are pretty good overall. I like what we have in this room. We have the opportunity for many people there. We know that we will get again during the season (McNeill).
