UFC 318 results: Patricio Pitbull survives a late comeback by Dan Ige and picks up the first UFC victory

Patricio Pitbull can finally say that he has a victory in the UFC.

After a disappointing performance in his debut, the former Bellator champion recovered with a decision victory against Dan IGE at UFC 318. Pitbull showed part of his vintage power with a flash clinic in the second round and then survived a late comeback from IGE to do the job.

All three judges achieved the fight 29-28 when Pitbull won.

A long process of feeling finally led to Pitbull a Slick -Takedown and then a trip to bring Ige back onto the screen. Ige defended himself well as he returned to his feet and was reset in the middle of the cage.

Ige came short with many of his biggest strokes, while Pitbull was not transformed into a big exchange and risked eating a electricity shot from the ever dangerous Hawaiian.

After a poor opening round, IGE was busy entering his combinations and taking the successors. Ige continued with a greater offensive performance, while Pitbull was temporary and simply didn't put much of anything back.

Just when it looked as if IGE had the takeover, Pitbull blew him up with a huge, straight one on the right that left him on a knee. Pitbull continued the rush, who tried to reach the finish when he supported Ige against the cage and just unloaded a stamp.

Ige survived, but he gave up a takedown late late that led to his corner and told him that he probably needed a finish if he wanted to leave New Orleans with a win.

Then Ige connected with a huge head -kick that crushed Pitbull's nose, but somehow he didn't really go out of the strike. IGE began to advance with more aggression and really let his hands go to try to deliver the knockout.

Unfortunately, IGE simply could not land a fight, and Pitbull could counteract with his argument to slow down the late flood of his opponent. While it was a little weak, Pitbull already did enough to achieve victory in the first two rounds.

Now 1: 1 in the UFC, Pitbull obviously hopes to build on this victory and show the UFC why he was a good free agent collection after almost his entire career outside the action.
