Bryson Dechambeau fires 64 and binds a low round with an open championship

Portrush, Northern Ireland after he had launched his open championship with a disappointing 78-year-old 78 in the first round, Bryson Dechameau collected three rounds under Par-Insche on Sunday, which brought him into a big championship for the seventh time in the last 11 starts.

“I always told you, I like it when it is fair conditions,” said Dechambeau, who was bound after the first round 144. “… I still have to crack the code when it is raining and windy. It was a funny three days. I was really proud of the way I turned it over and actually gave me some hope.”

With the goal, Dechambeau will probably consolidate its place in the United States Ryder Cup team. The two-time US Open winner this week was fifth in points behind Russell Henley, Xander Schauffele, JJ Spaun and Scottie Scheffler. The six best players in the overall ranking automatically qualify for the team, who competes against Europeans in the Bethpage State Park in September. As a captain, Keegan Bradley will select the remaining six players.

“I hope I can bring a lot of energy and a tsunami of a lot that are for the USA,” said Dechambeau.

Dechambeau said his experience in playing Team Golf on Liv taught him that the best approach in a team, “the person can be the best person they may be to expand the team”.

“That's it,” he said. “Don't try to put someone in a bladder and say: 'You have to do that; you have to do that.'”

After Dechambeau was on the losing side (2018 in France) and the winning side (2021 at Whistling Straits) of two Ryder Cup teams, he was not part of the team who traveled to Rome and lost to Europeans in 2023.

“This year's no joke,” said Dechambeau. “We are sorry. We are tired of losing.”

Bradley was also in the field this week and ended at 4. While it spoke a lot about whether Bradley should be a playful captain in the team, Bradley said that he had not yet made any decisions, but he added that there was an emergency plan if he ends up in the team.

“It will certainly not be easy. Nothing about whoever it is will be easy, but when I come to this position and I feel like helping the team, I will consider playing playing at the beginning of this week. “I obviously want to wait for the players to choose and see how I am, and if there is someone who plays great who can take my place, I will be enthusiastic about it. I just want to record the best team on the course at Bethpage.”

According to Dechambeau, Bradley tries to give something to every potential player who could be in a team this week.

“I spoke to him briefly, and then he put something in our lockers, which was pretty inspiring,” said Dechameau. “It meant a lot.”
